Help AAIA bring more fascinating events

Are you interested in building an innovation and start-up ecosystem with us? Join our growing talented committee!

We are looking for talents in the following areas:

Event Management:

As one of the most crucial roles in AAIA, you will be responsible for participating in designing, arranging, and organizing AAIA’s events. From the topics of future events, to how to organize and arrange an event, you will gain valuable experience and numerous opportunities to develop yourself.

Marketing:

Marketing is a major team in AAIA. This is a team with great potential and you will be responsible for reaching out and communicating with other organizations and establish relationship with them. It is a great chance to take initiative and develop you soft skills along with business development skill.

Web Design:

We use our website as a fundamental tool to promote AAIA and our innovation ecosystem. As part of the Web Design team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and updates on the website. It will be a plus if you are familiar WordPress as a web design tool. 

Video Editing:

As a growing non-profit organization, AAIA is using videos as a way to increase our visibility. You will be responsible for making short videos that can be used on different circumstances to promote our mission and vision. It is preferable if you know one or more video editing tools. 

Innovation Blog Writing:

At our blog writing team, you will have the opportunity to write down your insights into cutting-edge industrial trends, or innovative ideas. You can gain a solid understanding of the innovation ecosystem. This will be a place where you can develop writing skills and let yourself be heard.

WeChat Platform Article Writing:

To enhance the connection between Asia and North America, here at AAIA, we also use WeChat as one of the platforms to build up our ecosystem. The job nature is similar to innovation blog writing, but you will have the chance to express your insights in Mandarin Chinese here.

Social Media:

You will be responsible for our day-to-day operations of various social media accounts. And you will learn how to design and make posters, how to run our social media accounts and various other skills. It will be nice if you know some poster design tools.

Sponsorship:

Sponsorship is crucial to us as a non-profit organization. You will have the amazing chance to meet up with industrial professionals, entrepreneurs, or the most high-tech companies. Take your initiative and develop your communication and client maintenance skills here.

You can join our committee team in the following ways:

VOLUNTEER:

  • The volunteer work will typically take you 4 – 8 hours per week.
  • You will be able to gain valuable work experience.

INTERN:

  • The work will take you around 20 – 25 hours per week.
  • There is a formal Final Evaluation available from your supervisor.
  • You will have valuable work experience on résumé for future career development

CO-OP STUDENT:

  • You are expected to work 30 – 35 hours per week.
  • There is a formal Final Evaluation available from your supervisor.
  • You can get Co-op credits from your work.
